A two-day introduction to Flutter and Dart for cross-platform app development with hands-on learning
The "Flutter Workshop" was a two-day event hosted by the ACM Student Chapter of the Department of Computer Engineering on August 27th and 30th, 2024. Tailored for second-year students, Day 1 was attended by Section A, and Day 2 by Section B. The workshop provided a comprehensive introduction to Flutter and the Dart programming language, focusing on cross-platform app development for Android and iOS.
Led by third-year students and guided by Prof. Pallavi Wankhede, the sessions included setting up the Flutter environment, learning Dart basics, and hands-on exercises where participants built basic applications. The interactive format fostered enthusiasm and practical learning, equipping students with the skills to pursue their own app development projects.
